This qualification is aimed at any learner wishing to work as a Steward in the Active Leisure, Learning and Well-Being Sector. This may well include events such as Sporting Events, Music Festivals, Concerts, Parades or Carnivals. It covers how to prepare for Events, Control Entry and Exit for Customers, Identify and deal with Crowd problems and how to respond to Emergencies.
This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+ with no entry requirements, however, it is recommended that learners have a minimum of a Level 1 or above in English and Maths.
The course covers four mandatory modules that learners must achieve to gain the qualification.
1. How Stewards Prepare for Spectator Events
2. How Stewards Control the Entry, Exit and Movement of Spectators at Events
3. How Stewards Monitor Crowds and respond to potential Crowd Problems at Spectator Events
4. How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other Emergencies in Active Leisure and Learning
The course will be assessed by a Portfolio of evidence gained by the learner throughout the course

The qualification meets the requirements laid out in the Football Licensing Authoritys guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (Known as the GREEN Guide).
It provides the knowledge and competency components for the Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Spectator Safety

Designed for those learners wishing to gain an accredited qualification in Spectator Safety Supervision. It provides the Mandatory component of the Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Advanced Spectator Safety.
This qualification is approved for delivery to learners 16+ with no entry requirements, however, it is recommended that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
To achieve the qualification learners must achieve 16 credits from the four Mandatory modules and then complete a minimum of two further Optional modules.
Mandatory Modules:

2. Maintain Stewarding in designated areas and deal with Spectator problems and Emergencies
3. Deal with Accidents and Emergencies
4. Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
Optional Modules:

4. Work with others to improve Customer Service
