Manned Guarding actively includes any of the following:

 

1. Guarding premises against unauthorised access or occupation, against outbreaks of disorder or against damage.

2. Guarding property against destruction or damage, against being stolen or against bering otherwise dishonestly taken or obtained.

3. Guarding one or more individuals against assault or against injuries that might be suffered in consequence of the unlawful conduct of others.

 

All of the above includes providing a physical prescence, or carrying out any form of patrol or surveillance, as to deter or otherwise discourage it from happening or to provide information, if it happens, about what has happened.

 

Security Guard

 

A Security licence is required when manned guarding activity that does not fall under the descriptions of Door Supervision, Close Protection, Cash and Valuables in Transit, or Public Space Surveiallnace (CCTV) is undertaken.  

 

Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry (RQF)

 

 A 4-Day course including a FREE Emergency First Aid at Work qualification leading to a Level2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry (RQF) qualification.

 

The Emergency First Aid at Work is required for all newcomers and new applicants to the Security sector after the 1st April 2021.

 

All mandatory units covered, Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry, Principles of Working as a Security Officer in the Private Security Industry and Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry.

 

Assessment of this course will be through multiple choice examinations and practical assessments throughout the course.

 

Once he leaner has achieved the qualification it will then allow them to apply to the SIA (Security Industry Authority) for their Security Officer Licence.

Pre-requisite:

 

Learner must be over 18 years of age to apply for an SIA licence.

 

Must hold the equivalent of a Level 1 in English or be willing to undergo an Initial Assessment pior to enrolling onto the course.
